You will mentor and lead a small team of Systems Engineers allocated to each project, delegating, and reviewing work.

You will also provide technical leadership of project teams, alongside project managers and science leads.

You will be asked about this throughout the recruitment process.

You will Integrate scientific equipment with varying data interfaces and updated rates across the system.

You will check and inspect the configuration of hardware interfaces, drivers, and communication protocols for interoperability.

You will ensure smooth interaction between physical devices, software components, and network infrastructure.

You will be the technical leader when it comes to projects you manage.

You will have played an active part in the development of junior engineers and will manage the engineering output for each project. Working with the Director you will assist in managing financial deliverables and will play a lead in project bids.

You will be provided with the required learning and development opportunities in order for you to undertake the technical aspects of this role.

You will ideally have experience of the operation and / or maintenance of Royal Navy (RN) submarines and equipment, and preferably (but not essential) knowledge of appropriate technical documentation and an understanding of safety requirements.
