You will manage teams of Leads, Engineers, and Technicians often across various locations to ensure commissioning work is executed to meet legal, regulatory and project requirements. People management and leadership are key elements of this role as you will set and approve delivery plans as well as manage work progress and performance and, where appropriate, take the necessary corrective actions.
You will be joining a high-performing Project Controls function that takes pride in accuracy, integrity, and proactive support to project leadership. Working on large, complex engineering programmes, you will lead the integration of planning, cost control, estimating, risk management, change management, and reporting to provide a complete, reliable view of project performance.
You will be motivated, excited and a team player.
You will be responsible for overseeing the timely execution and completion of both the pre-construction and construction phases of the project.
You will have ownership, responsibility, and accountability for the project, highlighting project risks, identify opportunities and mentor the continuous improvement initiatives in order to improve efficiencies.
You will take ownership of managing external design consultants, driving technical compliance and ensuring all design outputs align with programme, contract and client requirements. The position acts as the technical focal point for the project, working closely with the Project Manager and wider engineering teams.
