You will be involved in a variety of projects on site and be the focus from a mechanical point of view process improvement on site. Ongoing training and support within this highly focused group will give the right candidate an opportunity to progress into larger roles within this long-standing group.
You will also be given Friday to focus on your studies each week. The rest of the time you will be working within the Services function of the Thales UK business, applying your academic learning into a real life context.
You will follow the Electrical/Electronic Technical Support Apprenticeship standard.
You will support the team to deliver real-world software solutions to deadlines and within budget, with opportunities to get involved across the entire development lifecycle.
You will enrol onto the Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship at Warwick University, following the Software Engineering pathway.
You will be set up with all the relevant tooling and software needed to work throughout Thales. A rotation plan will start once you have completed your manufacturing key skills training, where you will gain experience & knowledge in different manufacturing departments every 3 months.
You will be assigned to a succession of new or existing programmes where you will work with and be supported by other engineers to design and develop engineering solutions to meet the needs of our customers.
You will have gained or be on track to achieve a bachelor's degree in a STEM Subject in one of the following subject areas:
You will be set up with all the relevant tooling and software needed to work throughout Thales.
You will spend time in other departments in manufacturing rotating through different disciplines of assembly & integration, test, repairs and fault finding and planning and manufacturing engineering.
