You will have responsibility for the day-to-day functioning of the Satellite alongside the Satellite SEMH Inclusion Lead including supervising Child Support Workers.
You will be based at a Primary School in Camden and work closely with specialist teachers from and collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team, as well as liaising with leadership and staff in mainstream schools.
You will be working alongside two really friendly learning support assistants (LSAs) who know the children and the school procedures and will help you get up to speed quickly. Some experience of PECS and makaton would be advantageous but training is available. This is a quite challenging class as they are high energy but there are excellent staff and strategies in place.
You will be in a class with either 1 or 2 other practitioners in which you will all hold responsibility. Daily responsibilities would be to handle changes in behaviour, oversee room activities, communicate with other members of staff and most importantly create a fun and invigorating environment.
